Russia did not accept the European proposal for the peace of Ukraine
The Kremlin announced on Monday that the European proposal for the peace of Ukraine is non-constructive and not acceptable to Russia.
According to RCO News Agency, the publication of the 28-point peace plan of the United States last week intensified concerns in Ukraine and among European powers, because it seems that Washington has agreed to some key demands of Russia regarding NATO, territorial status and the order of implementation of the peace agreement.
According to a version seen by Reuters, the European plan has changed the meaning and importance of several key clauses related to NATO and the territory.
In this regard, Yuri Ushakov, the assistant of the Russian president, said: “At first glance, the European plan is completely unconstructive and is not acceptable to us.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that the US proposal could be the basis for resolving the conflict, but if Kiev rejects it, Russian forces will continue to advance.
Ushakov also added: “Not all, but many of the provisions of this American plan are completely acceptable to us.”
Nevertheless, he continued to emphasize that some cases require further discussions.
