The President of Ukraine responded to the comments of his American counterpart who called him “ungrateful”, saying that he is grateful for the efforts of the United States.
According to Isna, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X social network on Sunday evening: “The leadership of the United States is important, and we are grateful for everything that the United States and President Trump are doing for security, and we will continue constructive cooperation as much as possible.”
In this message, Zelensky said that he was waiting for new reports from the negotiating teams in Switzerland: “I had a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. “Our teams in Geneva are working with partners, and it is very important that a practical outcome is achieved, bringing Ukraine and all of Europe closer to reliable peace and security.”
He added: “We are coordinating our positions and it is important that there is a dialogue and that diplomacy is strengthened again. “We also count on our partners to hear our arguments.”
US President Donald Trump criticized Volodymyr Zelensky earlier and said: “The President of Ukraine has not appreciated our efforts and Europe continues to buy oil from Russia.”
