Zelensky: We have to choose between losing our dignity or alliance with America
Today (Friday), following the presentation of the new peace plan proposed by the United States, which takes into account Russia’s demands, the President of Ukraine said that Ukraine is faced with these 2 ways to choose between losing its dignity or losing its great ally.
According to RCO News Agency, “We are now in one of the most difficult times in our history,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a 10-minute video speech released today after the media reported that the United States had presented a new 28-point peace plan to Kiev. “Right now, one of the hardest pressures is coming to Ukraine.”
Zelensky continued: “Ukraine may now face a very difficult choice; “He has to choose between losing his dignity or risk losing an important ally.”
While according to reports, the United States has put Ukraine under unprecedented pressure to accept the proposed peace plan, Zelensky said: “Ukraine’s national interest should be considered in the negotiations on this proposed plan.”
He stated: “We will not issue loud statements, we will work calmly with America and all our allies. “We will start a constructive search for solutions with our main ally.”
Zelensky also said: Ukraine will propose alternatives to the plan proposed by the Trump administration.
“I will present my arguments,” he continued. “I will propose alternatives and convince them.”
