The Republic of Azerbaijan is ierested in accelerating the work on the “Trump Road”.

Jehon Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Alison Hooker, the Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States, and had a wide-ranging exchange of views on the curre situation and prospects for the developme of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, the peace process of Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as regional and global security issues.
According to Isna, Azerbaijan’s APA News agency explained the meeting and announced: Considering the agreemes reached in the historic meeting in Washington, the importance of joi efforts to develop strategic partnership between the two couries, the importance of strengthening cooperation in the fields of regional stability, energy security and the expansion of transportation corridors was emphasized.
In this coext, it was noted that Baku is ierested in accelerating the work that the United States will do under the “Trump Path for Iernational Peace and Prosperity” to establish unhindered communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The areas of activity of the strategic working group between the two couries were reviewed in order to prepare a strategic partnership charter that will help strengthen strategic partnership in areas of mutual ierest, and the importance of creating an institutional framework for bilateral practical cooperation was emphasized.
The agenda of peace and stability in the South Caucasus region as well as the directions of activity for the future period were discussed in the framework of bilateral and multilateral platforms.
Minister Jihon Bayramov informed the other side about the steps taken in the process of normalizing relations and reconstruction efforts in the post-war period.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East and other regional issues of ierest to the parties.
