He clarified: On the other hand, this very important component is closely related to the economic structure and function of households, living methods, job positions, personal and social needs of residents, etc. therefore The programs and policies of this field are highly sensitive and should be regulated and implemented in such a way as to reduce its horizontal and general effects and create disturbances and imbalances at all levels of the middle-city to the national region and not cause a decrease in the quality of life and livability.

He emphasized: Therefore, dealing with modern urban methods and approaches, each of which is aimed at solving urban problems, improving the quality and quantity of housing, improving the quality of the residential environment, increasing personal and social security, increasing the hope and sense of belonging of the residents of the residential environment, and many other things, is absolutely necessary in order to be able to advance the city towards desirability and have livable housing.

This researcher added: One of these approaches is foresight, the emergence of which is equal to the major weakness of the urban planning system. The methods of recognition and construction in foresight require interaction with the obvious and hidden social phenomena and then during the planning process.

He continued: Foresight in the field of housing can help to evaluate policies in this field, rank places in terms of livability, formulate management strategies and urban planning, and provide a deep understanding of prioritizing issues for urban planners and managers in order to improve the quality of life for citizens.

This researcher continued: Among the advantages of this approach in dealing with housing, we can mention the identification of problematic neighborhoods and residential environments, the causes of people’s dissatisfaction with the residential environment, the priorities of citizens in the residential environment, the impact of the total social and economic factors on the quality of life and the monitoring of the effectiveness of policies and strategies in this area.
