Al-Jolani hands over the “Uyghur” fighters to Beijing – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, citing Al-Mayadeen, Syrian sources announced that Jolani plans to hand over the Uyghur fighters to Beijing.

A Syrian military source announced that Syria is seeking to hand over Uighur fighters to China.

No further details have been released.

Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad, the Uyghurs have gained a more visible presence in Damascus, but their future in Syria is uncertain and may be an obstacle for a new governme in Syria that is trying to convince world powers that it has the ability to corol foreign fighters and preve cross-border threats.

Uyghurs live in Idlib, or in neighborhoods near the city of Jisr al-Shughur. The Uyghurs, whom many Syrians call “Turkestani,” have opened schools, gas stations, and restauras.

In local bakeries, Uyghurs bake traditional round and thick breads, which some of their Syrian neighbors have also become ierested in.
