Moscow: The road to peace passes through Alaska, even if Ukraine does not like it

The aide of the Russian preside announces the coinuation of calls for a meeting between Putin and Trump, and considers the Anchorage understandings as a path to a peaceful resolution of Ukraine, although Kiev has opposed these agreemes.
According to RCO News Agency, Yuri Ushakov, the assista of Russian Preside Vladimir Putin, said on Sunday that the meeting between Putin and US Preside Donald Trump has been postponed for some time, but the calls are still ongoing. He poied out that apparely the parties had already agreed on a meeting in Budapest.
According to Ushakov, if Putin and Trump agree on holding the meeting, many technical problems in organizing this summit will be sidelined.
According to Rashatodi, the assista of the Russian preside says that Moscow believes that the understandings reached in Anchorage, Alaska, have opened a “good path” for a peaceful settleme in Ukraine.
However, he says that the understandings reached between Putin and Trump in Alaska have been communicated to the Ukrainian side, but they “don’t like it.”
According to Ushakov, the United States has not officially declared that the agreemes reached in Anchorage are no longer valid. “The Anchorage meeting remains the basis of all commes and signals received from the United States on the Ukraine issue,” he added.
Ushakov said in an ierview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin on Sunday: “We are conducting active negotiations on the settleme of Ukraine based on the understandings reached in Anchorage. Many commes and signals about Ukraine are coming from Washington, but Russia will coinue to rely on these understandings. There are many signals, some we like, some we don’t, but the basis of it all is Anchorage. “These understandings are a good path for a peaceful settleme in Ukraine.”
“Decisions made in Anchorage have been transferred to Ukraine, however, Kiev did not like it,” the Putin aide added. Those who wa hostilities to coinue in Ukraine ‘to the last Ukrainian’ are against the Anchorage accords.”
