Imagine no more long queues on the plane’s sliding stairs on a rainy day. A new concept called the “X-ferry Bus” has been presented, with a clever mechanism that aims to eliminate one of the most boring parts of air travel forever. This airport bus, which is a combination of passenger buses and skybridges, can raise its cabin hydraulically to the height of the plane entrance and allow passengers to enter the plane directly without the need for stairs. The creative idea of X-free, created by the designer Li Jiali, has won the Future Star Award in the prestigious Goldreed Industrial Design Award. By separating the cabin from the main body and raising it, this bus is an ideal solution for low-cost airlines that usually do not use flyovers.
The innovative design of the X-Free bus brings significant benefits to everyone. First of all, it makes the boarding process much easier and faster, avoiding long queues and wasted time. Passengers can wait in a comfortable and covered space and enter the flight directly.

Another of the biggest advantages of the X-Free is its performance in adverse weather conditions. Passengers will no longer have to worry about getting wet in the rain or snow on the way from the bus to the stairs of the plane. In addition, this system is a fantastic solution for passengers with disabilities, the elderly and families traveling with baby carriages, as it makes it easy for everyone to access the plane by eliminating the stairs completely, making for a barrier-free journey.
