According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the downing of 216 Ukrainian drones last night.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that the coury’s air defense systems iercepted and destroyed 216 Ukrainian drones over differe regions of Russia last night.
It should be noted that on February 21, 2022 (March 2, 1400), Russian Preside Vladimir Putin, criticizing the West’s indifference to Moscow’s security concerns, recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region.
Three days later, on Thursday, February 24 (March 5, 1400), Russian Preside Vladimir Putin launched a military operation against Ukraine, which he called a “special operation”, and thus the tense relations between Moscow and Kiev turned io a military confroation.
In response to this Russian action, America and Western couries have imposed extensive sanctions against Moscow and se billions of dollars of weapons and military equipme to Kiev.
