Iran rejected the claims of the Group of 7

According to RCO News Agency, In a media statement, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran considered the repetition of the irresponsible position of the G7 member states in approving the illegal and unjustified action of the three European countries and the United States in abusing the JCPOA dispute resolution mechanism to restore the canceled resolutions of the Security Council against Iran as their support for an international illegal action and emphasized that this position of the Group of 7 does not in any way purify the illegal and unjustified nature of the action of the three European countries and the United States.

Recalling the illegal military aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States on Iran and the attack on the peaceful nuclear facilities of our country, this senior diplomat of the Islamic Republic described the request of the Group of 7 from Iran to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency, without the slightest reference to the joint crime of the United States and the Zionist regime, as deceitful and interventionist and emphasized: basically, the United States is the main cause of the current situation due to the illegal and unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA in 2018 and the military attack on the peaceful nuclear facilities of Iran. European countries, due to their compliance with the United States and failure to fulfill their obligations, as well as supporting the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, not only committed gross violations of the JCPOA obligations, but also ignored all of Iran’s initiatives and efforts to advance diplomacy with obvious malice.

The spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also considered the position of the Group of 7 towards the Palestinian issue as irresponsible and contrary to their international obligations to respect the right of nations to self-determination and prevent genocide, and stated that the comprehensive support of the United States and other member countries of the Group of 7 to the Zionist regime and their appeasement towards the occupation and genocide of the Palestinians has made the human rights claims of this group devoid of any dignity and credibility.

Baqaei also rejected the repeated and irresponsible claims of the Group of Seven against Iran regarding the Ukraine conflict, and noted the principled position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this regard, which is to oppose war and the need to end the conflict through dialogue and diplomatic negotiations between the relevant parties, and added: The Islamic Republic of Iran has no intervention in the Ukraine conflict, and the accusers should instead insist on “arrogance” and “blaming others” for their wrong policies regarding accept and correct the issue of world peace and security.
