The Secretary of the Science and Technology Headquarters of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution announced the re-examination of the “acceleration of science and technology in the country” in the 239th meeting of the Science and Technology Headquarters Council and said: In this meeting, a new policy package of the Headquarters Advisory Commission was presented and reviewed to increase the country’s scientific acceleration.
According to IsnaDr. Ali Baqer Taherinia, explaining the details of the 239th meeting of the Science and Technology Headquarters Council, which was held on Tuesday, November 20, 1404, stated: Scientific acceleration means changing the speed of science and technology growth; A change that is achieved either by removing obstacles or by increasing input power and resources or by a combination of both methods. In this meeting, the members emphasized that in order to realize the scientific acceleration, we should focus on two key components; Firstly, capable and motivated human resources including elites, researchers and university professors and secondly, adequate, easy and effective financing.
The Secretary of the Science and Technology Staff of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, referring to the vital role of human resources in the scientific growth of the country, said: If these two important indicators are paid attention to in policy-making, implementation and field management, it will be possible to return to the brilliant era of multiple growth of science in Iran compared to the world average, and conquer new scientific horizons even more quickly.
Taherinia added: In today’s meeting, it was also emphasized that scientific acceleration should be accompanied by avoiding unnecessary structural development and parallel work, and focusing on unity of command in science and technology policy-making, so that resources and capacities work synergistically.
According to the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, in another part of his speech, he mentioned the importance of financial funds related to the field of science and technology and said: It is expected that the resources in the support funds, including the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, will play a more effective role in accelerating the acceleration of science and technology in the country. The spending process of these resources should be such that it serves the universities, research institutes and scientific centers of the country with correct prioritization, high speed and ease, and tangible effectiveness.
