Travel is no longer limited to metal and glass cars. Toyota’s design studio has preseed a radical and exciting definition of adveure with the unveiling of its new concept called “ROX”. This car, built on the basis of the legendary Land Cruiser, by removing all physical barriers such as windows and body pillars, leaves passengers in the arms of nature; An experience similar to a mouain hike on four wheels. The main design philosophy of Rocks is to ielligely remove unnecessary elemes to immerse yourself in the environme. In this concept, the skeletal doors retain only the esseial structure, and the rear pillars of the car have either been removed or halved. The metal roof has been replaced by a canvas and sliding canopy, which can be completely folded when not needed. With this, the designers have turned elemes such as wind, sunlight and the sound of nature io an active part of the car design.

Atteion to application is the turning poi of Rocks design. The seats are covered in weather-resista fabric, similar to technical mouaineering gear, and the floor is made with a rubberized material that washes off easily after a muddy adveure. One of the most attractive features of Rocks is its cargo door, which is no longer a simple door; Rather, it becomes a “porch” for sitting, watching the stars or brewing coffee in nature. This change of use removes the boundary between the car and the shelter.

With a higher height and wider wheels than the standard Land Cruiser, Rocks creates a special feeling in the passengers. The driving force of this car is provided by a 2.4-liter turbocharged iForce engine with 278 horsepower, whose torque is optimized for precise corol on technical off-road tracks.

Maybe Toyota Rocks will never reach the production line with this shape and image; But it is a complete and powerful example; An example that reminds us that true adveure does not depend on the type of equipme; Rather, it depends on direct experience and reconnection with the surrounding environme.
