For many years, adventure in nature has been associated with the roar of gasoline engines and exhaust fumes; But it seems that Toyota intends to change this image forever. The company has unveiled an amazing concept pickup called the Tacoma H2-Overlander; An off-road behemoth that not only runs on clean hydrogen, but its only exhaust is pure water, and can even collect this water for its occupants. This car is supposed to be shown at the SEMA show this year. (Yanko Design)

Tacoma’s eco-friendly monster is the result of a collaboration between Toyota’s North American R&D teams and Toyota Racing Division (TRD) engineers. The beating heart of this car is the hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system, which, along with a 24.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, provides the necessary power for two electric motors and transfers a total of 547 horsepower to the wheels.
Tacoma’s real trump card is in its exhaust water collection system. This system collects the water vapor produced in the fuel cell combustion process and makes it available for various uses in the camp, such as drinking or washing. This means the end of worrying about running out of water on long trips to the heart of nature.

Toyota has designed its hydrogen pickup with full equipment for full-scale adventures. A pop-up roof tent made of lightweight carbon fiber, a bed, mini-fridge and even a grill oven that runs on the same hydrogen as the car are part of the Tacoma’s amenities. In addition, a powerful lightbar and heavy winch are also installed on it to cross difficult paths.
Technically, the Tacoma can travel up to 300 miles on a single charge of compressed liquid hydrogen. The interesting thing is that, unlike electric cars, it only takes less than five minutes to fill the tank. This car is also equipped with two electric outlets that can charge two other electric cars at the same time or even supply electricity to a house with a power of 15 kilowatts.
