Trump: Unlike other European countries, Hungary cannot stop buying oil and gas from Russia
US President Donald Trump said in a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Friday that Hungary, unlike other European countries, must continue to procure oil and gas from Russia due to the lack of a port.

In this press conference regarding the war in Ukraine, Trump said: “Biden actually started that war.” No one can believe this. Look at Ukraine — it’s a much smaller country and a lot of people have been killed. “Russia has not benefited much from that war.”
He asked Orban if Ukraine could win the war, and Orban replied, “Miracles can happen.” The US president then confirmed Orban’s answer.
Trump also said regarding Hungary’s trade exchanges with Russia: “It is very difficult for Hungary to get oil and gas from a country other than Russia, because it does not have a port, but many European countries have no problem and continue to buy oil and gas from Russia.”
