The United Nations revealed the crimes of the Golan regime against the Syrian people – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency

According to Mehr news agency, citing Al-Mayadeen, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights announced this Friday that the number of civilians missing in Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s governme is much higher than the statistics.
Samin al-Khaitan, the spokesperson of the commissariat, stated that the families of the disappeared are afraid of announcing the abduction of their loved ones due to the fear of retaliatory reactions from the Golan regime. He added that human rights violations coinue in differe areas of Syria, especially in the coastal areas and Sweida, and the actual number of victims is still unknown.
Al-Khaitan told a press conference in Geneva that 11 mohs after the fall of the former Syrian governme, the commission coinues to receive alarming reports of the abduction or disappearance of dozens of people.
He added that at least 97 cases of kidnapping or disappearance of Syrian citizens have been registered since the beginning of this year. However, it is difficult to confirm this figure precisely due to the unstable security situation.
Al-Khaitan explained that some people who coacted the United Nations or human rights organizations were threatened. He called for support for the witnesses and relatives of the missing and respect for the obligations of iernational humanitarian law.
