Putin: If America conducts nuclear tests, we will have to take couermeasures
Russian Preside Vladimir Putin warned that if Washington tests nuclear weapons, Moscow will be forced to take appropriate couermeasures.
According to Isna, Putin considered US Preside Donald Trump’s statemes about nuclear tests to be a serious issue and said that the Russian ambassador to the US has se a message to Washington to get an explanation about Trump’s statemes about nuclear tests.
He added that the Russian Security Council has examined and analyzed the statemes of the American authorities about the nuclear tests.
Putin emphasized that Russia has always fully adhered to the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and coinues to adhere to it and has no plans to abandon the provisions of this treaty.
The Preside of Russia warned that if the member states of this treaty decide to conduct nuclear tests, Russia will be forced to take appropriate couermeasures.
Putin has ordered Russia’s Security Council to gather information, conduct analysis and make recommendations on the possibility of starting preparations for nuclear tests.
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, said on Wednesday that if the United States conducts nuclear tests, Russia will also evaluate the possibility of conducting full nuclear tests.
