Inauguration of the US-Qatar joi air defense command ceer in Al Udayd

Today (Monday), the United States Ceral Command and Qatar opened the first joi air defense command ceer in the Middle East at Al-Adeed Air Base; The ceer whose purpose is to strengthen security cooperation and defense coordination between the two couries.
According to RCO News Agency, the United States Ceral Command “CECOM” announced the opening of the first joi air defense command ceer in West Asia with the participation of Qatar at Al-Adeed Air Base. At the opening ceremony of this ceer, Cecom Commander Brad Cooper and Qatar Armed Forces Chief of Staff Jassim al-Manai were prese and announced the start of this ceer.
According to a stateme released by US Ceral Command, Cooper said at the ceremony: “Our military relationship with Qatar is stronger than ever.”
He added that “the new joi air defense command ceer will strengthen regional security cooperation in the coming years.”
In October, US Preside Donald Trump pledged to consider any armed attack on Qatar as a threat to US security. The executive order issued by the White House stated: “Washington will consider any armed attack on the territory, sovereigy, or critical infrastructure of the Governme of Qatar as a threat to the peace and security of the United States.”
The docume emphasizes that in the eve of such an attack, the United States will take “all legal and appropriate measures, including diplomatic, economic and, if necessary, military measures to defend the ierests of the United States and the Governme of Qatar and restore peace and stability.”
The docume also noted that senior U.S. military and ielligence officials are still working with Qatar on coingency plans for a swift and coordinated response in the eve of an attack.
The executive order, which significaly strengthens the US commitme to Qatar, was issued after the Israeli regime carried out an airstrike on Doha last moh to assassinate several leaders of the Hamas moveme.
The attack raised tensions in Washington, as Qatar is one of America’s closest partners in the region and hosts the largest US military base in West Asia.
