Trump arrived in Tokyo + video – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, citing CNN, US Preside Donald Trump will eer Tokyo, the capital of this coury, during his Asian tour to meet Emperor Naruhito and Sanae Takaichi, the first female Prime Minister of Japan.

Trump is expected to meet with Naruhito today and then with Takaichi tomorrow. This is Trump’s fourth trip to Japan as the preside of the United States and his first trip to Tokyo since June 2019. In that year, he traveled to Japan to attend the G20 summit hosted by Osaka. Also, this is Trump’s first trip to Japan in his second term of office.

Trump has left Malaysia for Japan. US and Chinese trade negotiators in Malaysia reported significa progress toward a poteial trade deal, easing tensions ahead of a possible meeting between Trump and Chinese Preside Xi Jinping this week.

Trump has also indicated that he is open to extending his Asian tour to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, although no specific schedule has been set for the possible meeting.

The South Korean governme announced today that it considers the possibility of a meeting between Trump and Kim as unlikely.
