According to the Mehr news agency, citing Rudaw, news sources announced that the PKK will take a new step in the peace process tomorrow.

PKK announced its ieion to carry out an action in line with the call for dissolution and disarmame by its leader, Abdullah Ocalan, in a news conference at the foot of Qandil Mouain.

The media close to the PKK reported today that within the framework of Öcalan’s call and the decisions of the 12th PKK Congress, elemes of this party will take another historic step tomorrow.

In this press conference, an official stateme will be read which will refer to the new step of the PKK in the peace process and will be taken by a number of elemes for the peace process, which seems to include the transfer of a group of them from one region to another region.

Also, a high-ranking source in the “KCK” organization told Rawdav: This conference will be held at the foot of Qandil mouain in Sulaymaniyah province.

The meioned source stated: This is the first practical step by the PKK.

It should be noted that on February 27, 2025, Abdullah Ocalan, the leader of the PKK, in a stateme called on the elemes of this party to lay down their weapons, form a congress and dissolve this party. After that, the PKK announced that it held its 12th Congress on May 5-7 and decided to dissolve itself.

In this regard, on July 11, in a ceremony held in Jasna Cave on the border of Dukan city in Sulaymaniyah province, a group of PKK elemes set fire to their weapons as a goodwill gesture for the success of the peace process in Turkey.
