According to RCO News Agency, news sources reported fierce clashes between Afghan forces and the Pakistani military in southeastern Afghanistan.

Sources said there were fierce clashes in the Paktia region in southeastern Afghanistan between the two couries.

There have been no reports of the casualties.

Rece tensions between the two neighboring couries iensified after Islamabad called on the Taliban to act against militas who have increased their attacks in Pakistan and said they are operating on hideouts on Afghan soil.

The Taliban have rejected the presence of militas and forces of the Pakistani Taliban Taliban terrorist group in Afghanistan.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid today claimed that Pakistani forces carried out attacks earlier this morning and killed more than four civilians and wounded more than five others.
