According to RCO News Agency, according to Tarbiat Modarres University, amphibian monitoring and evaluation in Tarbiat Modarres University Research Forest in September, in collaboration with the Faculty of Natural Resources of Tarbiat Modarres University, Kurdistan University and Pars Conservation Specialist and Member of Barbad Safai Mehr. The project is being implemeed with the aim of ideifying regenerative sites, evaluating biological status and formulating protective strategies to support amphibians in this habitat of the Hyrcanian forest index.
In the first phase of this monitoring so far, two amphibious species have been ideified in the research forest area; A significa figure, which is equivale to about one -third of Iran’s known amphibian (23 species). Among the observed species, the Iranian salamander (Paradactlodon Persicus), the Buffo Eichwaldi and the Hyrcanian Forest Frog (Rana Pseudodalmatina) are part of Iran’s canvasive species and are listed in the Red List of threatening species of the World Conservation Union (IUCN). Research forest habitat is an exceptional poteial for survival and survival because of its pristine and habitat and elevation diversity such as sand rivers, high waterfalls, numerous ponds, and natural ponds with very difficult access to humans and many springs in the highlands and valleys. With the support of Mr. Javan, the university’s vice preside of research, it was decided that after completing the demographic evaluations and the habitat status of the ideified species, a special support program for coinuous protection of Iranian salamandar and toad to be implemeed and implemeed in the field of research forest.
Research Forest of Tarbiat Modarres University, due to the unique biodiversity and the iact structure of water-drill habitats, has the capacity to become a national pattern of amphibian protection in Iranian natural habitats. Implemeation of this project is an importa step in the path of scieific monitoring, the revival of small water habitats and the clever and sustainable protection of the unique Hyrcanian biodiversity across Iran.
