A rece research on the underground climate shows that the world’s three largest cities will be submerged in the future due to the expansion and coraction of the earth.
According to Tekna’s technology and technology news service, differe researches have been conducted in the field of land moveme and expansion in urban areas. These studies show that New York and Chicago are going down. Prof. Alon Tal from Tel Aviv University announced that unpleasa surprises await us in the future.
The researches of researchers from Northwestern University show that in the future, underground climate changes will be accompanied by the coraction and expansion of the earth, and the deformation of the earth will show itself in the form of cracking or warping. This can cause the buildings to settle, tilt them, or reduce the associated performance.
Alessandro Luria, a researcher at this university, says: “Underground climate change is the danger of extinction that has been ignored.” So far, no building or urban structure has been designed or built with the ability to withstand these changes. Although this phenomenon cannot endanger people’s safety. But it may reduce foundation systems and civil infrastructure.
To prove this, the researchers of this research conducted an experime using 150 sensors. Sensors were placed underground in Chicago and on the surface. Although the experime was conducted in Chicago, the researchers say these changes could have an effect in other areas as well.
