Alireza Hashemi on the sidelines of the Brex Group’s Spatial Information Working Group hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Presideial Transformation Cooperation Ceer, told Mehr reporter: “The meeting was attended by represeatives from Brex member states in person and online, on the eighth and nih day of October.
He said: Following the membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Brix Group, the Ceer for Presideial Transformation and Progress Cooperation was iroduced as the focal poi of Iran in this area within the framework of Brix cooperation due to iernational experience and capacities in the field of technology and innovation.
Hashemi, referring to the meeting of the Ministers of Science and Technology of the Brix couries last year in Russia, added: “The meeting was attended by the head of the Ceer for Transformation and Progress as a represeative of the Islamic Republic of Iran and proposed to host Iran for the fourth session of the Spatial Information Working Group and its applications.
According to the Director of Iernational Affairs of the Presideial Ceer for Transformation and Progress, the meeting will be held in collaboration with the coury’s specialized and scieific institutions, including the Mapping Organization, the Meteorological Organization, the Iranian Space Organization, the Space Research Institute, the Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration Organization, the University of Tehran, and Khaje Nasir al -Din University of Technology.
The director of the Presideial Cooperation and Progress Ceer, referring to the iernational dimension of the eve, said: “BRIX couries, including Brazil, China, Russia, India, Indonesia, Ethiopia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, attended the meeting online, and powerful Iranian collections were active.
He explained: The meeting program was designed in two days, which was focused on iroducing the capacities, capabilities and opportunities of cooperation between member states on the first day, and on the second day, joi areas for cooperation in the field of location information and its applications were discussed and exchanged.
Hashemi also announced the preparation of a final docume after the end of the meeting and said: “The issues raised at the meeting will be summarized and approved by a multilateral cooperation docume.” This docume is based on the joi activities of couries in the field of location information next year. Also, at the next meeting of the task force, a report of actions will be preseed on the basis of approvals.
In the end, he emphasized: “This meeting is not only an opportunity to showcase Iran’s capacities in the field of modern technologies, but also a platform for the developme of scieific, technological and knowledge cooperation with Brix couries.”
