According to RCO News Agency quoting Iraq’s official news agency (Wait), Iraqi Preside Abdul Thaf Rashid at the 80th meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York He said Iraq is ready to act as a link between the East and the West.

He emphasized that the coury has recovered its natural place in the iernational community and in relations with neighbors.

Speaking in a speech, the Iraqi preside emphasized the UN role in supporting democratic trends: The United Nations has always been a helper of the Iraqi people in support of democratic processes and elections.

Referring to Baghdad’s readiness to hold parliameary elections, he said: “Iraq is taking the path to coinuing the peaceful transfer process and working with the judiciary to hold a free, healthy and transpare election.”

The Iraqi preside also recalled its victory over terrorist groups: Iraq with the help of friends and allies was able to overcome the world’s most dangerous terrorist threat.

He emphasized the need for a widespread confroation with the phenomenon of terrorism and added: “Terrorism has a single nature and should not distinguish between its differe figures.”

The Iraqi preside also called for serious treatme of terrorism supporters, both with money or weapons.

The Iraqi preside, referring to the developmes in Gaza, emphasized that what is happening in the area reflects the acts of discrimination in the implemeation of human rights and justice.

He also called on the iernational community to enforce UN decisions and help the Palestinian people form their independe coury.

The Iraqi preside emphasized that the formation of a Palestinian state is the only way to achieve security and stability in the Middle East and the world.

He welcomed the Zionist actions against the couries of the region, including Syria, Lebanon and the last case; That is, he condemned Qatar.
