According to RCO News Agency, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the Iernational Atomic Energy Agency, said in a start -up meeting at the IAEA’s Governors’ Season meeting that Iran’s nuclear program reviewed in rece weeks, especially after the June attacks (Zionist and US aggression against Iran’s nuclear facilities).

He added: “As you can remember, I have explained this verbally and detailed at the same meeting of the Council and in the UN Security Council.” I have also provided detailed details in my reports to the Council. I have been in coact with Iran coinuously and systematically to respond to the concerns raised and find ways to restore the necessary cooperation between the Agency and Iran. We have carefully followed the rece developmes in Tehran, especially the legal approval of the Iranian parliame to suspend cooperation with the Agency, which the Preside of Iran has endorsed July 2.

The Director General of the Agency added: “In an ierview with Iran, I have expressed my readiness to consider this transformation, but I have noted that national laws can make obligations within the coury’s borders, but it does not create such a requireme for the agency. In this regard, the comprehensive agreeme of the Iranian sanctity remains in force, and is the only binding docume that determines the rights and obligations of the Agency and Iran in the implemeation of the safeguards. Therefore, the agency’s sanction measures in Iran are as well as any other coury with a comprehensive sanction agreeme.

“I have stated the agency’s readiness to examine Iran’s concerns and suggestions to the exte that it is compatible with the sankship agreeme,” he said, referring to Iran’s conditions (following the attack on the coury’s nuclear facilities). Exactly this, the focus of our last few weeks in Tehran and Vienna to reach an agreeme on the practical steps needed to carry out verification activities in Iran.

“There have been some progress,” said the Director General of the Iernational Atomic Energy Agency. Honestly, I hope that in the next few days these conversations can be achieved successful in order to fully resist our cooperation with Iran. I am confide that by performing these practical steps, other importa diplomatic consultations and trends will also go on a more promising hospital and lead to positive results.

He claimed that the full enforceme of the IAEA and Iran’s obligations under the NPT sanctions agreeme for Iran is an esseial condition for the real improveme of the situation. There is still the opportunity, but not too much; When there is good good and sense of responsibility, it will always be enough. This is my message to Iran and you will have enough time to express your views. We are ready to hear, especially the views of Iran and other couries on what is going on. I assure that the agency is doing its utmost on this path.

At the seasonal meeting of the Governors’ Council, which launched today (Monday) and coinues uil Friday, issues such as nuclear safety, the implemeation of sanctions agreemes, and the IAEA’s scieific and research activities will be discussed.

Mikhail Olianov, Russia’s permane represeative to iernational organizations based in Vienna, had earlier announced that the Iernational Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Directors, Iran and its nuclear program at the September meeting.
