UNIFIL condemned the Zionist attack on his troops in southern Lebanon – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news

The UN temporary forces in Lebanon (UNIFL) said today that the Zionist regime’s drones fired missiles near its positions in the waterline area in southern Lebanon.

UNIFL said in a stateme that the incide, which occurred yesterday morning, was one of the most dangerous attacks on its personnel and property since the ceasefire agreeme between Hezbollah and Israel was in November.

The Israeli drone fired missiles while the forces were removing barriers in the waterline area, the stateme said.

UNIFIL emphasized that the Zionist army should guaraee the safety and security of its forces.

The Israeli attack comes a few days after a resolution in the UN Security Council, which has confirmed the extension of the one -year and six -moh iernational forces active in Lebanon, and is scheduled to begin a gradual and orderly withdrawal process within a year.

Resolution 3 unanimously agreed to extend UN forces in Lebanon after opposition to Israel and the United States.

The resolution emphasizes the role of UNIFIL in supporting the Lebanese army and the implemeation of the resolution, which established a post -July ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel.
