Arafi: Gaza disaster is a mirror of international institutions – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
According to Mehr correspondent, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi at the second international conference on religious leaders on the subject of “Role of Religious Leaders in Resolving Human Conflicts” held a specialized summit entitled “Gaza disaster, a mirror of human institutions’ inability and duality of human values.”
At the summit, which was attended by hundreds of religious figures, the two important tasks of religious leaders were to create unity and empathy among religions and resist oppression and colonialism, adding: “The realization of these goals requires discourse, theorizing and formulating a common document.”
Referring to the situation in Gaza, he described the tragedy as an obvious symbol of the inability of international institutions and the dual behavior of human rights claimants, stating: At the same time, Gaza is a sign of the sustainability and greatness of the oppressed Palestinian nation, and the leaders of the religion must feel responsible for it.
The director of the country’s seminaries described Palestine as the front line of resistance to the Zionist regime and said: “The logical solution of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to hold elections and referendum among all Palestinians, but as long as the Zionist regime and Western supporters will prevent this solution.
In the end, Ayatollah Arafi called for global discourse to cut off all political, economic and cultural relations with the Zionist regime, emphasizing the inadequacy of projects such as normalizing relations or establishing two governments.
