Signing of Military Partnership Agreement between Saudi Arabia and US – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
The Saudi Defense Ministry signed a military partnership agreement with the US National Guard for Indiana and Oklahoma.
The ceremony was held at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Riyadh, with a number of senior officials on both sides, along with officials from the Interior Ministry and the Saudi National Guard.
The agreement was issued by the Saudi Ministry of Defense, with the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Faiz bin Hamed al -Raili, and the head of the US National Guard, Lieutenant General Steven Nordhaus, and Deputy Chief of the Oklahoma National Guard, General Thomas Mansino, and Deputy Chief of State.
The agreement is within the framework of the International Partnership Program (SPP) affiliated with the Ministry of Defense, which includes more than (1) international partnerships around the world, aimed at boosting defense and security cooperation through education, exchange of experiences and supporting security and stability efforts.
The agreement includes several main areas, including developing joint defense capabilities, increasing the readiness of the Saudi armed forces, participating in joint military exercises, developing leadership and strategic planning, strengthening crises and crises management, and building sustainable institutional partnerships.
It also includes exchanges, joint field exercises in the two countries, exchanges of officers, exchanges of experience, and the organization of specialized workshops in leadership and planning, artificial intelligence, and crisis management along with social and cultural projects that enhance cooperation and proximity between the two sides.
