In year 2, archaeologists of the Secrets of the Ice program in a remote mouain in Norway were able to discover the remains of a leather network used to coain the cargo behind the Packhorse in the Vikings era. The refrigerator of the discovery, due to its very low temperature, slowed the chemical and biological processes and preserved the organic matter.
The network is made up of leather and wooden parts, which indicates that it was used to carry goods on mouain routes during the Vikings era. Radiocarbon research has determined the age of this object for the past 5-5 years, which the researchers consider to be the only prototype preserved from this period.
Rece studies at the discovery site have shown that more parts of the network are being revealed. These findings provide a new insight io the multifaceted role and importance of bearing horses at that time.
