More than a thousand EU staff signed a letter to suspend its diplomatic relations with the Zionist regime and its financial sanctions, according to Mehr News Agency.
EU staff warned in the letter: Time is being lost and the risk of famine in the Gaza Strip is rapidly expanding. The famine in Gaza has accelerated and it cannot be stopped with cross -section assistance or aid from the sky, especially as the Israeli war against the region coinues. The coinuation of the Gaza siege is a clear violation of iernational law. The inability of the Gaza Human Institute in its mission has killed more than five Israeli forces since May.
The EU’s silence against the Gaza crisis is a kind of complicity with Israel and weakens European values, the staff added.
The signatories called on the EU to impose financial and trade sanctions against Israeli officials and suspend diplomatic relations with Tel Aviv and call the EU ambassador to Tel Aviv.
It is noteworthy that the Zionist regime has preveed food, fuel and medicine from reaching the Gaza Strip by closing the crossings. The siege of Gaza and the closure of the crossings have brought a severe famine.
