Security Council, criminal partner; Failure of Iernational Institutions in Human Defense – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news

Mehr News Agency, Iernational Group, Fatima Kavand: On July 1, an image was released in the media: a girl with a dusty face, turbule hair, and an empty pot in the hand, with horror staring at a large boiler of half -cooker. A group of children, with iensive boilers, have rushed to a bucket of food. This image alone tests the world: Is justice meaningful? Is human rights still a living slogan? Today’s Gaza is the crystallization of the collapse of global conscience.
The war that Israel has launched in the Gaza Strip is not only defined by bombing and artillery; Rather, with complete siege, deliberate famine, attacking medical ceers, bombing food lines, and destruction of vital infrastructure, it has become a special and sile type of genocide; Graduate genocide through hunger, which Article 2 of the Conveion, considers the crime of crime against humanity.
Statistics in July are more shocking than ever. According to the official report of the UN Humanitarian Aid Coordination Office (UNOCHA), more than 2.5 resides of Gaza have been killed. Among them there are more than 2 children and 2 women. In addition, nearly 3 people are at risk of absolute famine. More than 5 women and children are involved in acute malnutrition. These statistics have been provided not by human rights activists, but formal global institutions such as WHO and Fews net.
Israel has launched a food war instead of a military war. According to the UNICEF office in the last week of July, only four trucks carrying food aid arrived in Gaza. However, the official estimate of human institutions shows that at least two trucks are needed daily to maiain a minimum of survival. Children in the queue of bread are shot dead with empty boilers. Only in the past week, 4 people in the food distribution queue were fired directly. Iernational organizations have explicitly reported that Israeli troops have turned bread queues io a slaughter in al -Barij and Beitlahia.
Crimes are not just about food. In rece days, the European Hospital of Gaza and Nasr Hospital in Khan Yonnes have been targeted direct attacks. At Nasr Hospital, the only children was active. Dr. Marwan Sultan, the only cardiologist in southern Gaza, was killed with his family. To date, more than 5 treatme staff have been killed since the beginning of the war. More than 5 medical ceers are destroyed or unusable. Even the ambulances are not spared the Israeli fire.
Meanwhile, water supply and sewage facilities have been destroyed. Half of the wells have been disrupted and coagious diseases such as meningitis, blood diarrhea and skin infections have spread in the camps. In an official report, the World Health Organization has described Gaza’s situation as “a disaster beyond imagination”.
However, the silence of iernational institutions has become more deadly than the bombs. The UN Security Council, while holding several emergency meetings within a week in the Ukrainian crisis, has only issued ineffective statemes against the killing in Gaza. The US, with repeated veto, did not allow even a binding resolution against Israel. The institution, which was supposed to symbolize world security and peace, is today as a partner of the crime.
In the meaime, the role of America is far beyond diplomatic support. According to the Stockholm Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the United States has se Israel more than $ 1.5 billion in military aid only in year 2. Many of the bombs that destroyed schools, mosques, and hospitals are the construction of American factories. Then, in iernational tribunes, the same powers speak of “human rights”.
But this crisis is not just a regional issue. Gaza is now a mirror of the moral crisis of the iernational order. If the bombardme of food queues, the murder of sick children, and deliberate famine fails to react iernational institutions, then what basically can? Do we have to wait for greater crimes to finally hear the “Peace keeper”?
The task is not only on the shoulders of governmes. This is the test of nations. This suffering is not the suffering of Muslims, it is the suffering of humanity. Every free person in every corner of the world must now consider himself part of this scream. From Latin America to East Asia, from Europe to Africa, this crime is a common test of global conscience.
Governmes that still have political independence, especially the Arab and Muslim governmes, along with the Islamic Republic of Iran, which have defended Palestine for decades, must pioneers. Legal documeation, the pursuit of cases in the Iernational Criminal Court, the formation of diplomatic resistance coalitions, and even military support to defend civilians are part of this historical responsibility.
But without nations, this path will remain incomplete. Nations have to raise their voices, launch demonstrations, bring media pressure, sign iernational petition. Because if Gaza is off, tomorrow will be each of us. This is a crime against all of us.
Today’s human conscience is in the largest coemporary test. Will either wake up, or will be off forever.
