The Wow Architecture Group launched its most bold nature -friendly project in Singapore, called the Mandai Rainfulst Resort by Banyan Tree. This 5.5 -hectare collection is the first residence in Singapore to receive a “Under -Consumption” energy certification and offers a deep and comprehensive experience of living in the forest (Yanko Design).
Chiu Man Wong, one of the founders of the Wow Group, was able to compete in the design of the project, along with his team with a Regenerative approach that not only harm the environment, but also benefits from nature. In this residence, tree houses similar to seed pods, like natural phenomena, are overwhelmed by the horn.

The architectural approach of the project focuses on complete integration with the forest ecosystem. The WOW Architecture Group has been trying to minimize the intervention in the surrounding vegetation, while at the same time make the most of the natural features of the environment. The valuable vegetation of the region has been fully preserved by using this approach, along with new native species for increased biodiversity.
The forests on the roof and green views make the green space of this project very significant. In addition, the lobby is designed to open the tropical breeze freely, and this feature minimizes the need for mechanical cooling systems.
What is a restoration residence?
The restoration residence is a new way of interacting hotels and resorts with the natural environment around it. Unlike traditional “environmentally friendly” methods that focus solely on reducing damage, this new approach emphasizes the restoration and strengthening of local ecosystems and cultures. In such a view, not only are the resources consumed, but the nature and human society around them grow.

Residences that are exploited by the principles of resuscitation are transformed into living ecosystems that enhance biodiversity and empower local communities; Without the order of their lives.
Among the prominent elements of the “Rinfarest Residence of the Terry Brand”, the tree houses in the form of seed pods are most spectacular. These organic structures are in the heart of the forest cover and, with their natural curvature, are in line with the geometry of branches and leaves. These organic forms exhibit biomorphic design (inspired by biological forms); Without sacrifice or efficiency. The high position of these structures, in addition to creating natural air conditioning, offers beautiful landscapes of trees that change throughout the day.

Receiving the above consumption energy certificate requires at least 2 % less energy consumption than similar structures. This standard is obtained by inactive design and renewable resources. The hybrid ventilation system allows natural ventilation in appropriate conditions, and solar panels provide part of the collection’s energy independence. The use of natural materials and indigenous elements, while reducing the impacted energy, provides genuine connection with the Singapore tropical climate.
The spa and health section also has biofilic design. The 2 -square -meter spa spa consists of three sections of the spa and three health stations that are all in the forest. In these spaces, the voice of wildlife has replaced artificial music, and health programs such as forest baths and outdoor yoga platforms have eliminated the boundary between nature and architecture.
The Manda Forest Residence has set a new standard for revitalizing design in the field of Southeast Asia. WOW Group has not created only one luxury residence; Rather, they have created a live biography that demonstrates the power of sustainable architecture.
