According to RCO News Agency quoting Iraq’s official news agency (Wait), The Iraqi Foreign Ministry by issuing a stateme on the start of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party’s disarmame process (PKK. K.) Welcome.
According to the stateme, the first steps of this process were taken near Sulaimaniyah province in Iraqi Kurdistan; A move within the framework of the party’s previous commitme to end armed activities after more than forty years of conflict.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry has seen this transformation as an importa turning poi in the path of disarmame and has assessed it as a real opportunity to strengthen stability, end the cycle of violence, and open new prospects for peaceful understanding and coexistence in the region.
The stateme further emphasized that the Iraqi governme fully supports the process and considers the move a step towards the launch of a new phase of constructive cooperation with the Turkish Republic; Cooperation that will be based on joi action to address security challenges and thus strengthen the sovereigy and stability of the two couries.
In the end, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry has expressed hope that the initiative will help reduce political, security and social tensions in the region and would be a starting poi for the rooted resolution of crises and strengthen security and developme to all nations in the region.
It is noteworthy that news sources on Friday reported that the military branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party had officially launched its weapons during a ceremony.
