Researchers at the Faculty of Geography, University of Tehran, published a pioneering article in the reputable journal Sustainable Futures, have preseed a conceptual framework for revolutionary planning in sustainable urban planning, which has been nominated for Best Researchers and Research Award at the Second Iernational Conference on Environmeal Science and Energy Science.
The study, conducted by Dr. Keramatollah Ziairi, a professor at the University of Tehran and Ehsan Handkar, a postgraduate researcher at the University of Tehran, is the first iegrated model to iegrate Metaireh technology with spatial analysis, participatory simulation and artificial ielligence to address future cities against challenges such as climate change and urban developme.
“Key findings show that Metaurce, by creating” urban digital twins “, enables real -time developme policies,” Dr. Ziairi said. This framework, by combining GIS data, remote sensing and IoT, enables land use optimization and resource manageme and, through ieractive environmes, enables citizens’ unprecedeed participation in urban space design.
“However, researchers, however, have serious challenges, including the need for advanced digital infrastructure, the gap for low -income communities, and the need to formulate ethical frameworks,” said the University of Tehran.
“This research is open to the design of the next -generation smart towns and focusing on the practical model of the model in” Urban Smart Zones “and the developme of deceralized governance with blockchain technology,” said a professor at the Faculty of Geography.
