China: US invasion of Iran’s nuclear facility was “foolish” – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news

The Chinese Foreign Minister said that the war could not solve Iran’s nuclear issue, poiing out that such a solution could not ignore the core of the Middle East crisis, the Palestinian issue.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a press conference with his French couerpart Jean -Noel Barrow that his coury respects Iran’s right to peacefully use nuclear energy.

He emphasized that “war cannot solve Iran’s nuclear issue” and “the rece military conflict between Israel and Iran should not be repeated.”

The Chinese Foreign Minister stated that preveive attacks are lacking in legitimacy. The bombing of a nuclear facility owned by an independe coury (Iran) by the United States created a bad record. Wang Yi described the US as “foolish”.

The head of the Chinese diplomacy also addressed the Palestinian issue, saying that the Iranian nuclear solution could not ignore the core of the Middle East crisis, the Palestinian issue.

Wang Yi noted that the two -state solution is the only real way to preve unrest in the Middle East and urged the iernational community to take more practical and effective measures to achieve that goal.

At the end of his remarks, the Chinese Foreign Minister announced Beijing’s willingness to “cooperate with France with the aim of carrying out coinuous efforts to promote peace.”

China was one of the first couries to condemn the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran and announced its opposition to any violation of Iran’s sovereigy, security and territorial iegrity on July 6.
