Mohammad Rasul Giokashi, a graduate of Amir Kabir University of Technology, with the guidance and guidance of Dr. Faramarz Modi, a faculty member, implemeed a plan eitled “Evaluation of 3D Concrete Mixed Concrete Durability coaining Bubble Additive”.
“Despite the developme of industrialization methods in various industries, the construction industry is still traditionally going, while the industry can benefit from the benefits of new technologies,” said Gyukashi. One of the latest technologies in the industry is the construction of buildings and infrastructure by 3D priing method.
He said that the technology faces many challenges, one of which is the durability of concrete produced with 3D priers against environmeal factors and destructive conditions.
“In this study, we concluded that if we use optimized amous of aerobic bubble additive and concrete mixing, we will not only allow the durability of concrete to frost, but can also help improve its durability against other destructive factors,” said Amir Kabir University of Technology. In addition, this additive can also help with the new properties of these mixtures, especially rheology.

According to him, this could lead to an extension of the useful life of structures made with this method and help expand the use of this technique in the industry.
Referring to the details of the project, Giokashi stated that the study was one of the first studies in the field of 3D priing concrete at the university. In the first step, it was necessary to provide the necessary equipme. Because it is not possible to use any type of concrete mixture in these priers, it is necessary to prepare the appropriate concrete mix depending on the specifications of the machine, materials, etc.
He added: The 3D priing mix should be pumped and maiain its shape and structure after priing and layers on each other. In the third step, we added to the mixture of differe perceages of the aerobic bubble additive, taking io accou the previous considerations, and the samples needed to conduct empirical studies were made.
Giokashi emphasized: Given that the developme of this technology in the industry needs to address the leading challenges, this research has taken a little step in that direction, and accordingly, several articles were published due to research innovation and comprehensiveness of this research.
According to him, examining the various effects of aerobic bubble additives on 3D pri concrete, better resistance to frost damage, and reducing permeability and improving the durability of 3D pri concrete are among the achievemes of these studies.
The project executor noted: Providing a new solution to increase the durability of 3D pri concrete, extend the useful life and reduce the maienance costs of constructed structures in this way and solve research challenges and localization of technology are the benefits of this product.
