Putin: The new governme weapons program must guaraee an all -purpose system for air defense
Russian Preside Vladimir Putin on Thursday called for the creation of an all -purpose air defense system to couer any air threats under any circumstances.
“The new governme weapons program must guaraee the creation of an all -purpose air defense system that can operate in any environme and effectively destroy the air strikes, regardless of their type,” ISNA reported.
The Russian preside added that the new weapons plan should focus on widespread exploitation of emerging digital technologies and artificial ielligence in arms and military equipme systems, as well as emphasizing “the developme of new physical principles, land and marine robotics systems”.
“The developme of space forces is still one of the most importa areas of focus,” he said, referring to Russia’s advances in the aerospace field.
The Russian leader added that the formation of a group of spacecraft for various purposes should be completed in a timely manner.
“This will enhance the ability to ideify as well as immediate corol of forces and weapons,” Putin said.
“I wa to poi out that we are now creating forces of unmanned systems as an independe branch of the armed forces,” Putin said. “The establishme and developme of these forces must be done at the highest speed and quality.”
The Russian preside added that the coury is aware of the way its enemies perform in the drone.
“Overall, I don’t think we will be lagging behind in this area,” he said.
Putin also said that Russian drone operators have destroyed or disabled a significa portion of the enemy’s military equipme.
“We are witnessing a rapid increase in the effectiveness in the use of drones,” he said. They are able to disrupt armored vehicles, strong positions, communication systems, transportation and enemy forces. “For example, our UAV operators are currely responsible for destroying or damaging a significa portion of enemy equipme and facilities – as much as 5 %.”
The Russian preside also said of the Ukrainian War: “Since the start of special military operations, air defense forces have destroyed more than 6,000 aerial targets – including two operational -tactical and modern cruise missiles, as well as rockets that were about 2% of the West -made.”
