Russia thwarted a plan to smuggle military parts to Ukraine

According to RCO News Agency, the Russian Federal Security Service reported today (Monday) that the trafficking plan consisted of four Russia, Ukraine and West Asia and was coordinated by a foreign age living outside of Russia without meioning the coury’s name.

According to Rashatodi News, the group apparely used business coractors to produce new compones for the Russian-made MI-1 and Mi-1 helicopters.

The Russian Federal Security Service further stated that the parts were later to cross the border illegally and are estimated to be used to rebuild at least four helicopters.

The value of these pieces was also estimated at more than 5 million rubles.

The Mi-6 helicopter was first iroduced in the 1980s and is mainly used for auxiliary roles in the battlefield, including transportation and medical evacuation.

The Mi-2 helicopter, iroduced in the late 1980s, has been upgraded to motors and router systems, and is generally used for transportation and medical evacuation.

Since the start of Ukraine’s conflict with Russia in year 6, Kiev has been searching for Soviet equipme around the world to maiain its existing fleet and often buys outdated equipme for spare parts.

Western couries have provided large quaities of old Soviet equipme to Ukraine to help Kiev, which Ukraine is usually less difficult to use and maiain than foreign production equipme.
