Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carnery, who has recently seized power in the country, is trying to find economic partners in the world, according to Mehr News Agency. Saudi Arabia is one of the fascinating options for Ottawa.

Accordingly, the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement that Mark Carnery had spoken with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday.

“The leaders of the two countries discussed energy security and bilateral trade development,” the statement said. “They also emphasized the necessity of achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.”

The expansion of bilateral relations and economic cooperation were other main axes of the two parties.

US President Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia, which signed hundreds of billions of dollars, has now encouraged Canada and other Western countries to expand relations and cooperation with Riyadh.
