US envoy: We are looking for peace between Syria and Israel

The opening ceremony of the US ambassador’s residence in Damascus was held on Thursday with the US flag being raised in the building, according to ISNA.

The ceremony was also attended by Syrian Ierim Secretary of State Asad al -Shaybani and US Special Envoy Thomas Barack to Syria, and the US flag was raised by Barack, according to Sana News Agency.

US Preside Donald Trump appoied Barack as his special envoy to Syria on Wednesday night.

At the end of the ceremony, two sides emphasized the importance of gradual confidence, expanding cooperation horizons and strengthening consultations on various issues in the ierests of the Syrian nation and strengthening stability throughout the region.

The US ambassador’s residence in Damascus was opened today, with no official stateme on the reopening of the embassy in Syria yet.

“Preside Donald Trump will announce that Syria is not a coury of terrorism,” Barack said.

The US envoy to Syria added: “Trump’s approach is that the Syrian governme should not ierfere with non -ierference.”

“Washington is seeking peace between Syria and Israel, and this is a problem, but work begins with dialogue,” he said.

“I think we need to start with a non -rape agreeme between Syria and Israel and talking about the borders,” Barack said.

“We will strive to expand trade in Syria to get rid of the consequences of sanctions,” he said in an ierview with Al -Arabiya. The Trump administration was the curre Syrian governme to be empowered.

Barack claims that “Preside Trump is seeking a definitive destruction of ISIS in Syria.”

“It is possible to solve all the problems between Syria and Israel through dialogue,” the US official said.

“There are four types of US sanctions and Trump will lift administrative sanctions,” Barack said.
