Lavrov: Iran -US negotiations are moving on the right track

The Russian Foreign Minister said today (Wednesday) that there is hope that Iran and the United States will make progress in the nuclear talks and that this is in the right direction.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the 13th Iernational Summit of High Represeatives in Moscow: “The right to enrich in the framework of peaceful use of nuclear power programs in negotiations between Iran and the US is a key principle.”
“By judging the commes of the negotiating parties after the results of the next round of conversations, he hope that progress will be achieved and that everything is moving in the right direction,” he said.
The situation around Iran’s nuclear program is still difficult.
“We are concerned about NATO’s actions throughout the border danger with Russia,” the Russian Foreign Minister also said, adding that NATO’s forces are on the border with Russia. “Since Sweden and Finland joined the NATO military coalition, this concern has become more and unclear why they were dissatisfied with their neutrality.”
The Russian Foreign Minister said during the meeting that the next round of talks between Russia and Ukraine would soon be announced, adding: “In the May 5 talks in Istanbul, we insisted on the abolition of all these discriminatory laws and will coinue in the next round of direct negotiations that we will announce very soon.”
Lavrov also emphasized that negotiations are better than war, but key issues about Ukraine should be resolved.
He noted that returning to a neutral, non -commitme and non -commitme of Ukraine is one of Russia’s conditions to resolve the conflict.
The Russian senior diplomat also poied out that the West’s emphasis on the principle of territorial iegrity in the Ukrainian issue, while completely ignoring the right of a nation to determine its destiny, is unacceptable. Kiev is not represeative of the Crimean and southeast of Ukraine.
The West has repeatedly caused crisis in iernational relations, the Russian Foreign Minister coinued. The selective implemeation of the UN Charter, especially for Ukraine, is an example of these crises.
He added that NATO’s expansion to the east has been a stimulus for Ukraine’s conflict and a deep European security crisis. This is in conflict with the promises that Europe and the US have given to Russia that NATO will not expand to the east.
The Russian Foreign Minister also said about the curre situation in Germany that the coury twice became the leading European power in the tweieth ceury and see what it has brought to Europe and other couries around the world.

The Russian Foreign Minister said Moscow’s retaliatory measures to attack Kiev include attacks on Ukraine military facilities.
“I wa to draw special atteion to the Kiev terrorist acts, which is involved in organizing the assassination of politicians, military leaders, journalists and popular figures through special services,” he said.
“Kiev, who loudly announces his plans to coinue the widespread bombing of civilian targets and Russian civilian populations,” Lavrov said. “It is very sad that the West only responds to our legitimate and fair response to Kiev’s terrorist acts, which also affects civilian goals.”
