Türkiye and the US recognized the importance of preserving the iegrity of the Syrian territory

Duits from Türkiye and the United States talked about common priorities in Syria at their meeting in Washington, DC.
The US hosted Turkey for a new round of talks with the Syrian Working Group in Washington, DC, where the Turkish delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Noah Yilmaz and US delegation chaired by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Lando.
Turkish ambassador to Washington and US Ambassador to Ankara, Sadat Onal, also attended the meeting, according to Anatolia.
“Turkey and the United States are committed to increasing cooperation and coordination on stability and security in Syria, as Turkish Preside Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his US couerpart Donald Trump have expressed,” said a joi stateme.
“The United States and Türkiye have a common perspective for a stable Syria and in peace with themselves and its neighbors, allowing millions of Syrian refugees to return to their coury,” the stateme said.
The joi stateme also stated that Washington and Ankara understand the importance of preserving Syria’s territorial iegrity, saying: “A stable and united Syria that is not a safe haven for terrorist organizations will support regional security and prosperity.”
