Hossein Ibrahim Taha, the secretary general of the Islamic Cooperation Organization, said in a speech at the 34th Arab League Summit in Baghdad: “I appreciate the Iraqi people and the governme and welcome them.”

The Secretary -General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation stated: Relations between the Arab couries and the Islamic Cooperation Organization indicate deep ties between them.

Hussein Ibrahim called Palestine as an esseial issue of the Islamic world and said: The issue of Palestine is in the heart of our organization’s goals.

“We hope that the decisions of this summit will be implemeed to ensure the rights of the Palestinian people,” he said.

He emphasized the need to strengthen the strategic participation between the Islamic Cooperation Organization and the Arab League.
