The project aimed at preserving the autheicity of materials, structure, physical readability of the temple, extending the life of the building and removing possible damage from it, and in accordance with the principles of protection based on the theoretical foundations governing this collection and iernational style sheets such as the Venice Charter and the guide to the protection of the Brick Heritage.

The Inshushinak Temple on the first floor of Ziggurat, one of the most promine adobe structures in the world, in addition to being a symbol of the Ilamian architectural knowledge in the second millennium BC, requires coinuous, scieific and in situ protection as part of Iran’s first registered work.
