US Preside Donald Trump’s administration is investigating a plan to permanely transfer about one million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Libya, the NBC News reported.
Two sources informed about the details of the plan and a former US official have told the network that the Trump administration had also shared it with the Libyan officials.
According to sources, in exchange for Palestinian resettleme in Libya, the US governme is likely to release billions of dollars from Libya’s assets blocked in the United States more than a decade ago.
However, no final agreeme has yet been reached, and according to the same sources, the Zionist regime has been informed of these consultations.
The US State Departme and the White House National Security Council have not responded to numerous NBC News requests.
Meanwhile, Bassem Naeem, a senior Hamas moveme official who heads the Gaza Strip, told the news channel that the moveme was unaware of any negotiations on the transfer of Palestinians to Libya.
