US law requires Congress reviewing major weapons transactions and allows Senate members to vote on opposition resolutions that preve it from selling. Although the law does not allow the members of the parliame to impose such a decision, the resolutions must be passed in Congress and poteially survived the presideial veto to be implemeed.
Among the weapons in the resolutions and are set to sell to the UAE include selling $ 1.5 billion in helicopters and equipme, $ 5 million for the F-1 aircraft and $ 5 million for parts, logistics and support for Apache, Black Hawk and Shinok.
