Quoted by Heritage Dilly; Researchers at the Association of Conservation of Antiquities in Poland have discovered a rare dagger of the Halttat era, which revealed after a part of a rock on the Baltic coast.
Halttat’s culture, which lived in central Europe between 1 and 2 BC, shows the transition from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age.
This 2 -year -old dagger is from the Halttat period and is 1.5 cm long. The blade and handle of this dagger are precisely decorated with linear crescent motifs and star crosses.
The researchers found the dagger in a piece of flower separated from the rock and believe that the dagger surface motifs may be related to a solarism ritual and have a spiritual burden.
Further studies using metallurgical analysis will determine the combination of alloy and the amount of copper and tin.
