On the eve of World Museum Day, senior executives of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage displaced the two museums in Tehran for no documentary reasons. According to the decision of the Ministry of Heritage of the National Museum of the Quran, which has been active at the intersection of Valiasr and Imam Khomeini for many years, it is transferred to the Saadabad Palace complex due to security problems and parks. According to the decision, the Museum of Water in the Saadabad Palace, one of the old museums, will be closed to activate the National Museum of the Quran in its building.

Managers of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage claimed the problems of the National Museum of the Qur’an, while in the neighborhood of the Museum, the Marble Palace Collection is working as the Iranian Museum of Art and hosting the volume of high visitors.

The construction of the current building of the National Museum of the Qur’an began with the use of a cultural center before the revolution, but remained for about five years until it was completed in the solar year. In the mid -1980s, the building began with the use of the National Museum of the Qur’an and is now set to move into a non -transparent decision after five years and move a small building in the Saadabad Palace complex.

The National Museum of the Qur’an has a valuable treasure trove of Quranic manuscripts and artworks, and the current building of the Museum of Water in the Saadabad Palace does not have the right facilities for displaying and preserving these works. On the other hand, some experts consider the transfer of this treasure to be a risky event and believe that the Saadabad Museum Palace is not conceptually suitable for the National Museum of the Holy Quran. However, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage is ignorant of experts’ concerns in preparing this transfer, and it is unclear what they have for the valuable building of the National Museum of the Qur’an, which has special conditions.

Numerous experts and experts have responded to this museum transfer in recent days, calling this decision a mistake in the management of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage; However, the Deputy Director of Cultural Heritage, who has relying on his chair since the Ministry of Dignity, continues to be held accountable for the strange decisions of the deputy.

Ahmad Tabatabai, the head of the Iranian Ikum (National Committee of Museums), responded to the event before World Museum Day, saying:

The National Museum of the Quran could survive as a specialized museum; That is, its audience could have been students, students of theology and Quranic sciences, Quranic scholars and artists in the field of Quranic arts and books. As a result, there was no need for the museum to be open daily to the public. Visits could be made at special times and with previous coordination and continued its research and cultural activities on other days.

The head of the Iranian Ikum, referring to the unsuccessful experience of transferring the Miramad Museum to the Saadabad Palace, said:

I hope that the National Museum of the Qur’an does not suffer from the fate of the Mirmad Museum. If the museum remains in the same complex of the marble palace, it may be treated more appropriately.

Nasser Pazuki, an archaeologist and former director of the Tehran Province Cultural Heritage Bureau, who also participated in the launch of the National Museum of the Qur’an, told ISNA to criticize the decision:

This move both damages exquisite Qur’anic works and endangers the reputation of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. It is unclear who made this decision and where the works will be kept. Such actions, without public information, hurt people’s trust.

While the issue of water was a museum belonging to the Ministry of Energy, it was directly related to the complex due to the atmosphere of the Saadabad Palace. On the other hand, it is unclear what the Ministry of Cultural Heritage is planning for the current building of the National Museum of the Holy Quran, which is a broad and valuable building. It is located in a specific area of ​​Tehran and it is not possible to create other uses and it is possible to transfer it to other devices.
