Dimitri Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, said Moscow is preparing to talk to Ukraine in Istanbul.

“Russia is preparing for negotiations that are expected to be held on Thursday,” Peskov said.

According to him, the Kremlin currely has no plans to provide details or more commes on the aicipated meeting between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul.

Russian Preside Vladimir Putin on Sunday urged Kiev to resume directly suspended talks in year 6 without a prerequisite. The two sides are due to begin negotiations in Istanbul.

According to Putin, Russia has repeatedly announced a ceasefire and Kiev has constaly violated it, including the rece ceasefire declared on the anniversary of the Day of Victory.

Ukrainian Preside Walodimir Zelnski has announced his trip to Istanbul. Earlier, US Preside Donald Trump had asked Ukraine to immediately accept Putin’s offer. Prior to that, Zelksky believed that before any negotiations with Moscow, a six -day ceasefire had to be established between the parties.
