Jard Kouchner offers a quiet consultation to the Trump administration
As Preside Donald Trump was prepared for his first major foreign trip to the Middle East during his second presidency, some governme officials have turned to a familiar face to help orieate the region: Jard Kouchner.
According to RCO News Agency, several Trump administration officials and close to Jard Kouchner told CNN that the Preside’s son -in -law, who served as a senior Middle East negotiator in the first term of Trump’s presidency and established deep relations with regional leaders, was informally consulted with governme officials.
The sources said, although Kouchner is unlikely to join Trump on the trip, he is heavily involved in negotiations with Arab couries, including Saudi Arabia, on the signing of agreemes that make diplomatic relations with Tel Aviv. Sources said the preside’s top priority next week is to achieve “economic agreemes” with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, three of his destinations on the trip, which will increase their investmes in the United States.
Sources said, however, Kouchner and other Trump consultas were privately planned to expand Abraham’s agreemes, the treaties negotiating between several Arab couries and the Zionist regime during the first term of Trump’s presidency.
“This is a matter of discussion,” a senior White House official told CNN. Kouchner played a key role in the signing of the UAE’s Relationship Normalization Agreeme, which Trump will also visit next week.
Sources said he had consulted on how Trump’s widespread team approaches how sensitive negotiations with Saudi leaders on the trip. Kouchner’s role in officials’ guidance for the trip has not been reported before.
People who participated in the talks said that the Trump administration did not have the illusion that it would leave the Middle East with an agreeme with Riyadh. But they see face -to -face meetings between Trump and Saudi leaders as a great opportunity to progress. “We fully expect other couries to sign before Saudi Arabia (agreemes),” said a senior Trump administration official who participated in the talks. He added that Trump officials are talking to “a wide range of couries”.

Kouchner and Ben Salman
The White House considers Kouchner vital to help with such agreemes. Another senior governme official told CNN: “When it comes to the Middle East, Jard is an expert. “He knows all the actors and is one of the few people to listen to Arab leaders as well as the Israelis.”
Critics of Trump and some former diplomats have poied out that Kouchner has business ierests in the region that complicates his participation. Shortly after leaving Washington, he founded the AFFinity Partners Investme Company, which received significa support from the Persian Gulf national wealth funds. “Kouchner led some of the biggest successes of the first governme, including Abraham’s historical agreeme to help peace in the Middle East,” said Steven Chong, director of communications at the White House. “There is no doubt that this governme values its expertise and welcomes his recommendations in all areas that he was to be useful.”
New challenges in the Middle East
Dynamics in the Middle East have changed significaly since Trump’s first term. The al -Aqsa Storm on October 5 and the subseque war in Gaza has created a new gap between the Zionist regime and its Arab neighbors. Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi crown prince and the actual leader of the coury, has explicitly stated that Riyadh will not establish his relations with the Zionist regime as long as there is no clear path for the formation of a Palestinian state and the permane end of the war in Gaza – none of these two. The Gaza ceasefire agreeme, which Trump praised at the beginning of his presidency, is collapsing, and Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that it is starting a new and more severe phase of the war in Gaza, though a Zionist official said it will begin.
It is still unclear how Trump iends to reduce the dispute with Ben Salman. However, people close to Kouchner say that he believes there are suggestions that the governme can submit to the Crown Prince who softened his position on the agreeme only if the Palestinians have a clear path to forming the coury. These people refused to provide details.
During Trump’s first presidency, Kouchner established a close relationship with Prince bin Salman – sources that are familiar with their relationships, the two often communicated through WhatsApp – and are still talking to each other regularly. “There is a way, and Jared has been thinking a lot,” said one senior governme official who participated in the talks. He thinks outside the framework. But there is a way to poteially solve that part for the Saudis and force them to take steps to normalize relationships.
Trump’s envoy to the Middle East – who has claimed a much widespread responsibility for negotiating with Russia and Iran – told the audience this week at the Zionist Embassy in Washington that he expects the Ibrahim agreeme to be expanded soon. “We think we will have a lot of leaflets very soon,” said Witcaf, who is expected to accompany Trump on his trip to the Middle East.
Who else will be on this trip?
Trump will travel to the Middle East with a large delegation, including several cabinet ministers and senior officials. Foreign Minister Marco Rubio is expected to fly separately from Trump to the area to attend meetings. The Minister of Commerce is expected to join the delegation.
Senior White House officials told CNN that most of the senior White House staff, including Susie Whees, the head of the office and Trump’s deputies, will also accompany the preside. “There were many people who waed to be part of the trip,” said one governme official.
Sources said Kouchner, who is unlikely to go on the trip, has neither the official role in Trump’s presidency nor was to play. But the sources said he was still an importa actor behind the scenes of the Middle East talks.
“He likes to have the freedom to do what he is doing,” a senior governme official said. “He was to work behind the scenes uil he can achieve a success that he can publicly refer to.” Sources said that some of Kouchner’s partnerships are attributed to his close personal relationship with Witakaf. Trump administration officials and close to Kouchner tell CNN that the two have been in coact with the Preside’s power since the transfer of power, and Kouchner often consults on his ieractions with Arab leaders to Witcoaf.
Three Trump administration officials said Witcaf is expected to travel to the region next week. “He has been able to help Steve (Witcaf) communicate with the people there, he gives information to Steve,” said one official. An official told CNN: “He is the biggest supporter of Witakaf and helped him understand the issues and deal with the characters. “He feels comfortable behind the scenes.”
